RESUMEN:

            En La religión dentro de los límites de la mera razón, Kant realiza una aguda crítica del fenómeno religioso: lo depura de elementos extraños, reivindica la importancia de la moral y, por último, lo reduce exclusivamente a moral. El artículo describe este análisis y lo confirma y amplía mediante una indagación en la posición personal de Kant con respecto a la religión en general y, al cristianismo en particular, que parece mostrar no sólo indiferencia sino hostilidad. En las conclusiones se cuestiona la necesidad y el sentido de esta reducción a moral y se postula que, si bien hay ideas sugerentes en la crítica kantiana, sus tesis más radicales no resultan vigentes en una sociedad pluralista que incorpora un modelo religioso evolucionado.

ABSTRACT:

            In The religion within the limits of mere reason, Kant realizes a deep critic of the religious phenomenon: he purifies the religion of foreign elements, emphasizes the relevance of moral and, finally, reduces it only to moral. The article describes these analysis and confirms it by an investigation in the personal position of Kant on religion in general and specifically on Christianity which shows not only lack of interest but hostility. In the conclusions the author discuss the need and sense of the kantian reduction to moral and affirms that, although there are interesting ideas in the kantian position, his more radical points are not valid for a pluralistic society with an evolved religious model.
