ABSTRACT:

This paper analyses the concept of subject as the feature of every living being’s own, keeping Edgar Morin’s works as the reference. This concept has to be conceived according to the paradigm of complexity. The computo is the way in which the existence-defining open/close character is featured in the living individual. The existential characters of every being’s own arise from this condition. They enable the understanding of human knowledge as a never-ending “fight against the error”, in which risks are not avoidable because they actually feed the fight. For the same reason, ethic has to be conceived as a strategy fed by uncertainty and solved by action, and therefore implying a “bet”.
